Companies that would like to support the painting and disaster restoration industries can become members of the Painting & Disaster Restoration Academy. This allows the company to showcase their projects and expertise and allows students to submit their resumes.

Benefits of Company Memberships – Painting Contractors

  • Post open positions in the PDRA Career Center so that students can submit resumes
  • Support the scholarship program and have their name listed as donor to the Academy
  • Sponsor their own employees through the program and track their progress
  • Receive a 10 percent discount on any class
  • Have a portal on the website with their logo showcasing their company
  • May take and complete the following coursework:
    • Safety trained – Core Curriculum/Painting Essentials is required
    • Painting levels 1-3 cover tools and supplies, surface preparation for paints and sprays, painting, cleaning techniques, finishes and much more.
    • Know Your Hazards course for lead and asbestos
    • Review concept quizzes and terminology quizzes at the end of each module tests students for understanding
    • Industrial Coatings is an advanced painting course that is also available
  • Students will be certified by NCCER upon completing modules, final exams and performance profiles

    • Restoration courses include water mitigation, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold remediation, and trauma and crime scene clean up
    • Know Your Hazards course for asbestos, lead, silica and other hazards are required
    • Review concept quizzes and terminology quizzes at the end of each module tests students for understanding
