November 22, 2021 (West Bloomfield, MI) – The Painting & Disaster Restoration Academy, which provides training for high school students, Veterans, and others looking for a career in the fast-growing, high-demand construction industry, announces that Torri Hicks has joined as its new Academy Director. Torri will be responsible for contractor company memberships, student enrollment and sponsorship acquisitions. 

Torri founded YouthNique, a Nonprofit Management Company in Atlanta, Georgia, where she created its brand, strategic plan, processes, evaluation plans and built strong alliances with city and state officials to help startup companies in the area. She has also worked with Hands on Atlanta where she trained and managed AmeriCorps members and supervisors at 13 Atlanta Public Schools expanding their program services resulting in a 90% improvement in student academic performance.
