Kimberly Oderkirk is the Owner of Association Services Stellar Events and brings with her 30 years in event and construction education management. She was instrumental in producing the Floor Covering Installation (FIT) Program, an in-house training program that taught the standards in carpet, resilient and ceramic tile flooring. In 2015, she launched the online Certified Installation Management (CIM) program for FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association. The CIM program provides training tools and assessments for qualified professionals within the commercial flooring industry to enhance their core skill set, experience, and knowledge base, which are necessary to successfully manage commercial installation projects.

Karen Tiedt is the Mitigation Manager and Training Coordinator for SunGlo Restoration Services.  Combining her 22-year insurance background with her specialized training and field experience, Karen incorporates her diverse skills and passion for training into opportunities for others to learn, grow and succeed.  Although she achieved Triple Master Status from the Institute of Inspection and Cleaning Certification (IICRC) in 2019, she continues expanding her industry knowledge every year.

As a Licensed Builder since 2005, John has built a business that has navigated difficult economic times while growing each year throughout the process. As a former football coach, John has a fiery passion for encouraging people to succeed. He believes that demand for Tradespeople will only continue to increase because outsourcing is not a viable option and there will always be a demand for great people that actually “do things”, no matter the technological advances in the world. Gerry Swift

Gerry Swift began his career as a residential painter and drywall mechanic shortly after finishing his three-year enlistment in the Marine Corp in 1983, quickly rising to sales and management. In 1991, Gerry left the painting trade to join Potomac Floor Covering, where he learned to read and understand construction drawings and specifications, later becoming partner and growing the company to be one of the top five largest commercial flooring contractors in the Washington DC market by the mid-2000s. He joined FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association in 2004 and was elected as FCICA’s Chairman in 2011 on a platform of training and certification of their contractor members’ field project managers, leading to the development of the Certified Installation Manager (CIM) program.
